Ops Engineer (Contract)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Ops Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, continuity, and security of our services within the Payments domain. As part of our Information Factory Payments initiative, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, utilizing your expertise in cloud technologies and DevOps practices to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and provide well-architected standardized cloud platform services and solutions to support our Information Factory Payments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps squads practicing Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure seamless development and deployment processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Ensure the security and reliability of our systems by implementing best practices and staying abreast of industry standards.
  • Operate Apache Airflow DAGs in live production environments, orchestrating workflows efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage Azure DataFactory pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
  • Utilize SQL database skills to manage and query data effectively, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Automate tasks using Azure PowerShell and Azure CLI, streamlining operations and improving efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely support, especially during production incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow, Azure DataFactory, and SQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services, PowerShell, and CLI.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and incident/problem management.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, SC-900, and AZ-400 are preferred.
  • Proficiency in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
