As an Azure Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the data engineering and Business Intelligence journey of global and regional operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll lead the charge in designing and implementing scalable azure data engineering and Power BI data visualisation solutions that meet diverse business needs. Your experience as an Azure Data Engineer and BI Developer will be key to optimizing data storage and retrieval systems, creating robust data models, and developing automated data pipelines. Your dedication to data quality, integrity, and security will ensure the foundation of our data-driven decision-making.

With UK headquarters based in Central London, the Azure Data Engineer role is a Full time permanent hybrid position working 3 days per week in the office and 2 days a week from home. The basic salary on offer, depending on experience, is between £65,000 - £75,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Key Responsibilities as an Azure Data Engineer:

  • Utilise Azure data architecture expertise to craft scalable data solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Design and fine-tune data storage and retrieval systems using Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and other Azure DB services.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines for automated data integration from various sources, including API systems.
  • Developer, optimize and maintain the Power BI data visualisation landscape.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to understand data requirements, providing technical insights into data solution design and implementation.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines to ensure optimal data processing and availability.
  • Drive data quality, integrity, and security across all stages of data processing, adhering to governance and privacy standards.
  • Contribute to data migration projects, transitioning Legacy data platforms to the cutting-edge global data landscape.

Skills & Experience Required for the Azure Data Engineer role:

  • Proven experience working in industry as an Azure Data Engineer and/or BI Developer.
  • Proficiency in Azure data tools such as Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, SQL, Data Lake or Delta Lake.
  • Strong data engineering and data modelling skills, with the ability to craft complex data models.
  • In-depth understanding of Azure SQL databases and data normalization techniques.
  • Strong data visualisation experience using Power BI.
  • Agile methodology experience and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
